Question: Do I need any experience?
Answer:
Absolutely not. If you find yourself in the fortunate position of having just discovered the tip of the salsa iceberg, the Salsa Essentials 1 series would be your first step
Question: Do I need a to bring my own partner?
Answer:
No. You will not need to bring a partner. One of the greatest parts of salsa is meeting interesting new people and dancing with them, and this is an element that is maintained in the classroom.
Question: Do I need to have or buy special shoes?
Answer:
Nope, not at all. Later in your salsa journey you may decide to buy dance shoes, however in the beginning any pair of shoes that meets two requirements will work fine. The first is that they aren't too grippy, a good test of this is to stand in your kitchen and see if you can pivot your feel without working too hard. The second one is that it connects around your heel. Avoid slip-on shoes and anything that might fall off. When you pivot your feet in the kitchen, if your shoes feel real loose, then you might want to try something that holds a little tighter.
Question: Can I try out just one class before signing up for a whole series?
Answer:
Yes, you may pay for any class session individually up to the close of registration. At that point, you can roll your existing payments into the overall price of the series.
Question: I registered for a class but I need to cancel. Can I get my money back?
Answer:
MÁS y Mambo issues a full refund before the beginning of each series. After registration has closed, no refund can be issued. After the series has begun but before the end of registration, a refund is issue for the balance of the total price of the series less the number of classes attended charged at the standard single class rate.
Question: Will class be cancelled because of the snow?
Answer:
Class will be cancelled if the Franklin County Sheriff's Department issues a Level 2 Snow Emergency. The website to check for this is: http://www.sheriff.franklin.oh.us/
