MyM at CSCC Hispanic Heritage Celebration

Posted on October 5, 2009

MÁS y Mambo was asked to teach a large group salsa class to the students, faculty, staff, and local citizens attending Columbus State Community College's Hispanic Heritage Month celebration this past Saturday. It was an hour of salsa, fun, and learning for all that attended and the event staff were so pleased that a return has already been booked. For MÁS y Mambo friends at CSCC, there is another large group class in November with your name on it.

American Electric Power contacted MÁS y Mambo to provide a little salsa flair to their Hispanic Heritage Month celebration. In the main lobby of their corporate headquarters they had Puerto Rican and Mexican delicacies, a mariachi band, and some excellent salsa dancing. MÁS y Mambo did one performance and taught a 30 minute introductory class for the good people of AEP. Afterwards, the event was deemed a success and MÁS y Mambo credited for bringing a high level of energy and interactivity to all participants of the celebration.

MÁS y Mambo performing at the 2009 Latino Festival
Mike Poe and Shanelle Marie of MAS y Mambo, a Columbus-based dance company, strutted their stuff yesterday at the 14th annual Festival Latino.

When the dispatch covered the Festival Latino last weekend, they put a giant picture of Shanelle and Mike performing their routine to Suelte el Bongo by La-33. Although the image on the website isn't that big... the print version was nearly half the whole page!
